In June 2010, Carl was appointed to the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, & Nutrition.
The President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition (PCFSN) is a committee of volunteer citizens, made up of athletes, chefs, physicians, and other fitness experts who advise the President through the Secretary of Health and Human Services about physical activity, fitness, sports, and nutrition in America. Through its programs and partnerships with the public, private, and non-profit sectors, PCFSN acts as a catalyst to promote healthy and active lifestyles, with the goal to educate, empower and engage Americans of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
